A brief introduction in the basics of software engineering

It will be performed as 1,5h (2×40min) long remote lecture about software development models, software engineering approaches and software development tools. Lecture will cover following topics:

• what is software, and what is software engineering
• different software development models e.g. Waterfall and Agile
• project planning and distributed collaboration
• requirement analysis, systems architecture and design
• approaches of implementation and testing like Test-later development (TLD) and Test-driven development (TDD)
• quality assurance, Pareto principle, risk and issue management
