Workshop: How to build a Python application

Agenda:

1. Python Introduction. A brief introduction about what is Python, history and use cases.

2. Python for Automation. During this section the participants will learn about the libraries and programing model used to automate task in the DevOps world:

  •     - Procedure Oriented Programming
  •     - OS and System Libraries
  •     - Re library
  •     - Json library
  •     - Files manipulation with Python

3. Practical task. Using the previous concepts, we will analyze a Git repository with a large amount of files looking for a specific string and map the list of links with their corresponding file. Then, using previous the output, we can update the selected string on every match inside the configuration files.
